Melvin Hubbard comes to Dominican University with 20 years of experience coaching volleyball at the club and collegiate levels. Hubbard currently serves as an assistant coach for 1st Alliance VBC, Lions VBC and has coached with the 2nd City Volleyball Club, guiding his team to a second-place finish at the 1996 USVBA Junior Nationals in San Jose, CA. At the college level, Hubbard has coached at Illinois Institute of Technology and Chicago State University. In 2004, Hubbard guided the IIIT volleyball team to a 19-13 overall record. As a player, Hubbard competed with the 2nd City Men's Club, playing ten years in the AA Division and competing at the USVBA Adult Nationals in 1993 and 1996. |
