Jan. 28, 2008

River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University Department of Athletics announced Monday that it has struck a deal with the Park District of Forest Park to use the Forest Park softball fields located on Harrison between Des Plaines and Harlem avenues.

"This is an amazing opportunity for us," said Cristina Lukas, the Stars' head softball coach. "The Park District of Forest Park does an excellent job taking care of the fields that we are certain to have a great experience every time out."

Dominican has seven dates, 14 games, on their home schedule this season. They will open the season with eight games in Fort Myers, Fla. on the program's annual spring trip. The Stars then return home for their home opener on Wednesday, March 26, as they host Concordia University Wisconsin as the Stars open the 2008 Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) season.
