Carol Tallarico joins the Dominican University softball coaching staff for the 2008 season. Tallarico, a standout at Thornton Fractional South High School in the mid-1990s went on to earn a letter with the DePaul University softball team in 1995. During that campaign, Tallarico landed on the Mid-Continent Conference Academic Honor Roll and posted a .313 batting average appearing in 38 games for the Blue Demons and posting a .313 batting average with 48 at-bats. At TF South, Tallarico was a two-sport standout, earning all-conference and all-area in both sports as well as being named the team's MVP during her senior seasons and being honored as her graduating class's valedictorian. Tallarico earned her bachelor's degree in International Studies and master's degree in Economics from DePaul before going on to receive a PHD in Economics from UIC. |
