Mark Anderson joins the Dominican University softball program as an assistant coach for the 2008 season. Anderson possesses a plethora of coaching experience, including a 21-year stint as the head varsity softball coach at Bloom High School during which time he became the all-time winningest coach at Bloom with 314 career wins.

During his tenure as a head varsity softball coach at the high school level, Anderson had 107 athletes recognized with all-conference awards, 95 athletes recognized with all-area awards and 38 players receive college scholarships. In 1993, Anderson's team was crowned the SICA East Co-Conference Champions.

In addition to his experience as a coach, Anderson, a graduate of Southern Illinois University, has logged over 20 years as a physical education and drivers education teacher and is married with two children.
